Lodge Remediation
Description: This project will involve much needed corrective construction remediation. The project will address moisture breaches that have reduce occupancy and cause other mold and mildew concerns. The project also involves roofing, surface grading, erosion control, window repair or replacement, door hardware replacement, exterior finish repair/replacement to include painting, staining, metal fabrication for post & beam structural components, construction of covered walkways between lodge and rooms, improved handicapped access, and parking lot and sidewalk improvements. All aspects of this project are necessary to stop the continued deterioration of an assets of the State.

Project Name:
Student Dormitory and Family Reunion Center
Description: Funds will be used for the design and construction of a student dorm and family reunion center. This facility will be used to accommodate the student housing needs for programs such as the Oklahoma Arts Institute's programs. This project is essential for the added safety and security of the students participating in educational programs at Quartz Mountain as well as expanding opportunities for increased participation of Oklahoma students by adding additional student housing. This project also provides expanded opportunities to accommodate the demand for family reunion and small meetings, thus creating a revenue stream for the Center.

Project Name: Repair and Renovation to the Performing Arts Hall and Arts Pavilions
Description: A lack of funding has deferred much needed maintenance causing the exterior condition of these buildings to be compromised. All aspects of this project are necessary to stop continued deterioration. This project involves roof repair and exterior re-finishing of the performance hall, repair of exterior veneers to the five arts pavilions and also to the amphitheater, new roofs, replacement of decking materials, improved handicapped access, water damage repair, drywall, painting , floor repair and walkway repair.

Project Name:
Complete the Quartz Mountain Nature Park Trail System
Description: This project would be our portion of matching monies required to complete construction of a comprehensive pedestrian trail system. Our portion of the match is 20 percent with the remaining 80 percent coming from the Department of Transportation. This project will allow the Center to enhance and develop an educational and wellness component related to hiking and biking activities, naturalist programs, and the preservation and conservation of public lands. This project will also provide additional recreational activities for the public.

Preserve and Improve Infrastructure
Description: Several of the buildings at Quartz Mountain are anywhere from 30 to 70 years old and due to lack of funds, much needed maintenance and renovation has been deferred. This project includes campground improvement, cabin repair and refurbishment, group camp improvements/ renovation, golf course improvements and repair, maintenance facilities repair and renovation, bathroom and comfort station repair and renovation, bathroom additions, parking lot replacement and repair, and ADA compliance issues.

Project Name:
New Infrastructure, Land Improvement and Land Acquisition
Description: Funding will be used for but not limited to the purchase/construction of a boat dock and the acquisition of land to act as a buffer zone to the park. The project is designed to improve recreational opportunities and to improve lake access to the conference facility. The added amenities will improve customer service and satisfaction.
